• Research Leadership: Drive a robust research agenda in smart manufacturing, securing significant grants and producing impactful, high-quality publications.
• Industry Catalyst: Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with local and international aerospace and high-tech sectors to facilitate technology transfer.
• Academic Excellence: Deliver engaging curriculum in mechatronics, robotics, and additive manufacturing, ensuring students gain industry-relevant skills.
• Mentorship: Supervise and inspire postgraduate students (Masters and PhD) toward successful research outcomes.

requirements

We are looking for a candidate with a blend of academic rigor and professional accreditation.

• Education: A PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, or a strictly related field from a recognized institution.
• Professional Status: Mandatory registration with a recognized professional body (e.g., Board of Engineers Malaysia).
• Desired Accreditations: Professional Engineer (PEng), IPEA, or APEC Engineer status is highly desirable.
• Expertise: Deep technical knowledge in Industry 4.0/5.0, robotics, automation systems, additive manufacturing, or process optimization.
• Experience: * Substantial teaching experience in higher education.
• A proven track record of securing major research funding.
• Demonstrated success in industry-academia collaboration and technology transfer.
