PLM Engineer (Smart Manufacturing)

Our Client

We are partnering with a MNC that specializes in manufacturing of Automotive parts. The company is expanding their Malaysia operations and looking for a PLM Engineer (Smart Manufacturing) as part of their strategic growth.

Responsibility

• Architect and deploy advanced ML/AI frameworks to solve complex bottlenecks within high-precision engineering environments.
• Lead the design of end-to-end automation strategies that streamline technical workflows and production-level decision-making.
• Spearhead the optimization of digital product data environments (PLM) to ensure a "single source of truth" across the global value chain.
• Build and refine bespoke internal applications (web/mobile) that empower cross-functional teams with real-time data and connectivity.
• Act as a technical consultant to internal business units to identify and execute high-ROI digitalization projects.
• Ensure all deployed digital solutions are robust, cyber-secure, and capable of scaling across multiple manufacturing sites.

Requirements

• A Degree or Master’s in Mechatronics, Computer Science, or a core Engineering discipline with a heavy focus on software integration.
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience at the intersection of hardware and software. You should have a proven history of moving projects from "Proof of Concept" to "Production Environment."
• Knowledge of PLM systems (e.g., Siemens Teamcenter, PTC Windchill).
• Familiarity with automation platforms (e.g., PLCs, robotics, IoT systems).
• Experience in web/app development (e.g., React, Node.js, Flutter) is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
