Data Centre Operation Technician

**Responsibilities**

• **Monitor servers and equipment** - Continuously watching dashboards and monitoring tools to ensure no server or system goes down.
• **System health checks**- Performing regular inspections on storage devices, servers, and cooling systems to catch problems early.
• **Troubleshooting system alerts**- When alarms go off (e.g., high temperature, disk failure), diagnosing the issue and fixing it or escalating to engineers.
• **Backup and recovery** - Making sure company data is backed up properly and can be restored quickly in case of failure.
• **Rack and cabling management**- Organizing cables and equipment in racks so the data center stays neat, safe, and efficient.
• **Documentation** - Keeping detailed records of incidents, maintenance tasks, and procedures so other technicians can follow them.
• **Security compliance** - Following strict access and security rules to protect the data center.
• **Support hardware lifecycle** - Assisting with installing new servers and retiring old equipment safely.
• *Job Requirements**:
• Diploma/Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
• Knowledge of servers, networking basics, and operating systems.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and backup processes.
• Strong discipline and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, or on-call.
• *Characteristics & Attitude**:
• Highly responsible with strong attention to detail.
• Able to stay calm during system outages.
• Disciplined in following operational procedures.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
