Data Center Facilities Engineer (Mechanical)

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Infrastructures Maintenance & Operation

• Operate and maintain critical systems: Chiller, Cooling Tower, UPS, generators, fire suppression, BMS, electrical panels, water treatment systems.
• Conduct regular preventive maintenance and inspections.
• Troubleshoot and repair facility systems to prevent downtime.

2. Monitoring & Reporting

• Use Building Management Systems (BMS) or DCIM tools to monitor real-time performance of power, cooling, and environmental systems.
• Record incidents, maintenance logs, and operational metrics

3. Project Involvement

• Support infrastructure upgrades, expansions, or retrofits.
• Collaborate with contractors and vendors for installation and testing of new equipment.

4. Compliance & Safety

• Ensure all operations follow safety standards, codes, and SOPs.
• Participate in emergency drills, audits, and safety reviews.

5. Energy Efficiency & Optimization

• Analyze and implement improvements to reduce PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness).
• Support sustainability initiatives like improving airflow management or power distribution efficiency.

REQUIREMENTS

• Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 2-5 years of experience in data center facilities management or relevant experience in HVAC, electrical, or critical infrastructure systems.
• Preferably knowledgeable and having skills in operation and maintenance of fire protection and fire fighting system.
• Relevant certifications such as Data Center Facilities Operations (DCFO), Certified Data Center Technician (CDCT), or similar are advantageous.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
