Data Center Field Engineer

**About the role**

This is an exciting opportunity to join BRIGHTRAY ASSET MANAGEMENT SDN. BHD. as a Data Center Field Engineer. In this full-time role, you will be based in Kulai, Johor and play a crucial part in maintaining and optimising the company's data center infrastructure.

• *What you'll be doing**

1. Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on data center equipment, such as servers, storage systems, and networking devices

2. Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues to ensure the continuous operation of the data center

3. Implement upgrades, configurations, and system changes as per the company's policies and standards

4. Collaborate with the IT team to develop and document data center maintenance and operational procedures

5. Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities and incidents

6. Provide on-call support and respond to emergency situations as required

7. Continuously explore ways to enhance the efficiency and reliability of the data center infrastructure

• *What we're looking for**

1. Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a relevant technical field

2. **5+ years** of hands-on experience as a Data Center Field Engineer or in a similar role

3. Strong technical expertise in data center hardware and software, including servers, storage, networking, and power/cooling systems

4. Proficient in monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving data center-related issues

5. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently

6. Good communication and documentation skills to effectively collaborate with the IT team and stakeholders

7. Willingness to work in a 24/7 on-call rotation to provide emergency support as needed
