The D365 Manufacturing Functional Lead is responsible for leading the functional design, configuration, and deployment of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Manufacturing capabilities within Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management across global implementations.

The role ensures adherence to the Global Template while addressing country-specific manufacturing processes, regulatory requirements, and operational variations.

The Functional Lead collaborates closely with business stakeholders, solution architects, and technical teams to deliver fit-to-standard, scalable, and compliant manufacturing solutions across regions.

15+ years of hands-on experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Manufacturing

5+ years in a D365 Manufacturing Functional Lead role

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent

Proven experience in large-scale, global ERP Manufacturing implementations

Strong exposure to multi-country, multi–legal entity manufacturing landscapes

Experience working in Global Template–based ERP programs

Hands-on experience supporting APAC manufacturing rollouts, including:

Singapore

Taiwan

China (Shanghai, Beijing)

Korea

Japan

Strong understanding of local manufacturing processes, compliance, and statutory requirements

Ability to identify local manufacturing gaps, risks, and dependencies early

Strong ability to interpret the Global Manufacturing Template and implement country-specific localization requirements aligned to the template

Core Functional Responsibilities – D365 Manufacturing

Own and lead functional responsibility for D365 Manufacturing modules, including:

Bills of Materials (BOM) & Formula Management

Routes and Resource Management

Discrete Manufacturing

Production Control and Execution

Capacity Planning and Scheduling

Master Planning / MRP (Manufacturing-focused)

Costing (Standard, FIFO, Actual) and WIP

Conduct fit-to-standard / fit-gap workshops with manufacturing, planning, and operations teams

Translate manufacturing business requirements into:

Functional solution designs

End-to-end configuration and setup in D365 Manufacturing

Drive adoption of standard D365 Manufacturing functionality with minimal customization
